How Often To Replace A Car Exhaust?

  • Fuel consumption: if you notice that you are using more petrol or diesel than usual, your exhaust system may be leaking. This can cause your engine to become hotter and reduce fuel efficiency.
  • Rust: if you can spot visible signs of rust, get your exhaust checked out as that’s a sign of corrosion which will lead to worse damage.

You may hear other ‘unusual’ noises from your exhaust, such as hissing or chugging, which could mean a crack or blockage in the exhaust system.
